The streets of La Grange were laid out several years before the organization of Fayette County in 1837.  First populated by Austin's colonists - "The Original Three Hundred", then followed by German immigrants in the 1840's and Czech and Moravians in the 1850's, the cultures of these pioneers are evident today and have been proudly passed through generations.

The La Grange Police Department will host a National Night Out event on Tuesday, October 2nd  from 6-8 pm at the White Rock Park
Fall Cleanup Week

 The City of La Grange has designated October 15 - 20, 2018 as Fall Cleanup WeekThe City will pick up one free load of brush during this week.  One load of brush is defined as not more than one pickup truck load. If you have logs, please separate them from the branches.  

Secure Document Shred Day" on Saturday, Oct 13, 2018
The City of La Grange, the La Grange Police Department and the La Grange Citizens Police Academy are pleased to announce that, in conjunction with the Spring Clean Up, the city will host a “Secure Document Shred Day” on Saturday, October 13, 2018. This event is being held to assist citizens in shredding documents which might have confidential information on them. The shred event will be held at the La Grange Police Department located at 243 South College from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. (Noon) on October 13th
