Curbside Pick Up at the Library
During the Fayette Public Library, Museum & Archives’ closure, we want to remind our community that we are still here for you! The library will offer curbside pickup of materials from 10:00am – 12:30pm Tuesday-Friday. Please call the library at 979-968-3765 to reserve items and set up your pick up. We are asking that you please call and make arrangements with a staff member prior to showing up. Items will be available for pick up at 855 S. Jefferson St in the drive through circle by the book drop. If you or someone in your household is ill, please do not pick up items and stay home.
If you are not sure what items you would like, give us a call and we will be happy to make recommendations. We plan to offer pick-up service for as long as it is safe and can be done while following recommendations from the CDC and our elected officials. Other than offering our physical collection, we are still here to provide reference information, fact check, assist with eBooks, and simply provide a listening ear during this difficult time via telephone or e-mail. For questions or more information, please call 979-968-3765 or e-mail email@example.com.
Library, Museum & Archives Closed Temporarily
The Fayette Public Library, Museum & Archives will be closed to the public starting March 16th. The library and archives will remain staffed and able to assist patrons via telephone and e-mail. Staff will also be working to sanitize the facility and all circulating items. For the month of March, patrons will not incur fines for overdue materials. All library events and meeting room reservations will be cancelled during the closure.
The safety of staff, patrons, and our community is our priority. We believe that school closures put an increased burden on public libraries as children and families turn to us for social, educational and even childcare needs. Increased dependence on our spaces and resources will in all likelihood contribute to the continued spread of the coronavirus.
We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause our community and will continue to monitor the situation and evaluate when it is safe to reopen. For more information or questions, please e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or call 979-968-3765.
Youth & Teen Cooking Workshops
The library is excited to offer youth and teen cooking workshops starting in January! We are partnering with the Agrilife Extension to learn how to make healthy and delicious meals. Youth grades 3-6, will meet on the second Thursday of the month starting January 16th. Teens will meet the second Tuesday of the month starting tomorrow, January 14th. Both groups will meet from 4-5pm in the library meeting room over the next four months. For more information, call the library at 979-968-3765.
