The City of La Grange will submit a request to the Texas Department of Agriculture (Department), Office of Rural Affairs for the release of 2020 Community Development Block Grant funds under Section 104(f) of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 as amended, to undertake a project known as Water Improvements #7220241 to provide for fire protection, increased water capacity, and reduction of maintenance issues and water loss.

The City of La Grange is giving notice of the city’s intent to submit a Texas Community Development Block Grant Program grant application for a Community Development Fund grant request of $350,000 for water system improvements generally bounded by Guadalupe St, Colorado St, and Monroe St, which serves census tract 9703.00 block group 5. The application is available for review at the City Hall during regular business hours.

The City of La Grange has received a Texas Community Development Block Grant (TxCDBG) contract under the Community Development Fund from the Texas Department of Agriculture. In order to comply with the Civil Rights requirements of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act and the Fair Housing Law, the City of La Grange has established policies, plans and resolutions to ensure that equal opportunities are afforded to all persons and that no person shall be excluded or denied program benefits on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or age.
